Why I Built Chirp Wire
My name is Allen Weiss. I was a longtime MailChimp user while serving as Director of Mindful USC. Over time, I grew frustrated with limitations in the platform—especially when I needed to send last-minute, targeted messages to participants who had just signed up for a class.
Eventually, my free account was at risk simply for having more than one audience. That’s when I started building my own email system. It served me well for several years.
Then someone asked if they could use my system—and that sparked an idea: What if I turned this into a web-based service? With the help of ChatGPT, I made it happen.
The result is Chirp Wire—a communication platform built for simplicity, speed, and the real-world needs of organizations like yours.
